Why register on the ePortal
With the introduction of PASSAR, every company operating with Swiss customs must obtain a business partner ID (GP-ID). This unique identification code, linked to the company's UID number, is obtained by registering on the federal ePortal.
Creating a user account does not complete onboarding: each company must register its services in the ePortal, verify the GP-ID, assign the required roles and authorise users.

Open the browser and navigate to the Swiss federal portal.
Create the user account
Create the personal user account and set the credentials.
Confirm the email address
Confirm the email address and complete the user verification.
Activate two-factor authentication
Activate two-factor authentication and complete the user profile.

Register or link the business in the ePortal: the user account and business registration are separate steps.
Register or link the business
Verify the company name, address and IDI number.
Verify business details and IDI number
Request or verify the business partner GP-ID.
Request or verify the GP-ID
Assign the appropriate roles: «Document collection in goods traffic» and «Financial information» for invoice recipients; «Freight» and «Financial information» for import declarants.
Assign partner roles and user permissions
Grant users the required permissions and check access to the requested service.
